TEKTON DESIGN ASSOCIATES Pvt LTD. (TEKTON DESIGN) was established in 1988, in Male’ Republic of Maldives, by a very enthusiastic group of people, namely, Ibrahim Rafeeq (Civil Engineer), Late Mohamed Gasim (Architect), Late Ahmed Shareef (Draftsman / Project manager) &Abdulla Thalaal (Architect).

Since its establishment, TEKTON DESIGN has played a major role in the built environment of the Maldives, Designed and engineered services for multi-storey buildings, sport complexes, mosques and prestigious tourist resort islands.In TEKTON DESIGN, we, Architects, Engineers, Planners, Interior Designers, Surveyors, Project managers & Technicians work together to deliver the best services to our clients.

 

Throughout our services history, we have been designing the visible Islamic symbol

which is known world wide as mosque. Being in a hundred percent Muslim population, Islamic architecture should not be unspoken of.

Some of the commercial designs and residential designs have been adopted with Islamic architecture. These designs were considered innovative designs due to the reason that these building had to blend with Hi – Tec. and modern architecture that surrounds it.Some styles and features borrowed from existing architecture and some innovated through in-house research.

With the development of the economy, architecture is also developing with the same pace. New high-rise buildings which were not seen within the four corners of the capital city (Male’) before 7 Years are now all over the city. With the introduction of new materials and building techniques TEKTON DESIGN has implemented almost all of them in the commercial building of the city, which has become the new image of architecture in the Maldives.
